About ‘The PC Guy’..
I began my fascination with computers back in 1983, programming a tiny 64k unit. I progressed to Amigas, Commodores, IBM PCs, DOS, the first Windows O/S and just kept on going right up to the current Windows10. In 1993 I began exploring the internet using FTP/Chat-clients and quickly learned HTML programming before there was any software written to compile like we have today. (FrontPage, WordPress, etc.) At the time I was doing HTML in Notebook.
From online business, stocks, operating systems, viruses, hacking, web-cams, networking, wireless systems.. I’ve seen it all develop and learned it as it arrived right up to today. What can I say?, I just love everything about computers, the Net and Tech in general. 🙂
I began repairing computers and building websites for others in 1993, but mostly just part-time from my full-time engineering tech job. In 2007 I decided to work for myself and began my own Mobile PC Repair business in Southern California. I did this full time for five years until I then decided to live overseas in the Philippines, which is where I reside now, pretty much semi-retired, but still in love with all things tech and on the net. I wrote a very detailed book on everything I learned about running my business and have it available here.
I’ve lived on about five different islands (so far) since 2012 and visited others. I keep a video journal of my adventures in the Philippines at this Youtube Channel.
Be sure to subscribe to the website so you can check out my ongoing free articles and video series on all things computer related here at the site. I’ll be covering various topics on the questions I’m most asked, proper maintenance, helpful tips and tutorials.. so feel to browse around and share me on Facebook with the icons below.
